Grower Tip:

Rockwool cubes come in many shapes and sizes. 
For best results:

• use cubes that are square shaped. Many rockwool cubes are tapered at the bottom which makes them unstable. They fall over without support.
• use cubes that are wrapped in plastic. Plastic wrapped cubes hold moisture better and force the roots to grow down (instead of out the side). Roots growing out the bottom of the cube transfer better to into grow pots.

Rockwool is a sterile, inert growing medium that is perfect for growing seeds and cuttings.

The fiber construction of Rockwool Cubes creates a unique water holding ability that strikes an even balance of air and water - perfect for nurturing new root growth in tender young plants or seedlings.   

Our Rockwool cubes are wrapped in an opaque plastic foil that provides the same function as the walls of a plastic pot - keeping out light and acting as a barrier for root growth. It also prevents the growth of algae. Remove this plastic foil before planting into a hydroponic planter.
